Pairs Competition 1st round draw
Rules: All matches to consist of 2 consecutive frames and the total points score at the end of the 2nd frame will decide the winners. All players to play off their lowest League handicap, even if that handicap is at a club other than the one they have entered from. The two players handicaps are added together and put on the score board ONCE only ie at the start of the 1st frame. However, the maximum start that any pair may receive is a total of 100 points over the 2 frames. The home pair should contact their opponents and offer them 3 non consecutive dates. However, it is expected that the away pair will also make some effort to contact their opponents and see what is happening about getting the game played. Any away draws pair who have made a GENUINE effort to get the game played but have still not been offered dates by their opponents TEN days from the closing date then they must contact the League Secretary to advise same, giving 2 dates they are able to play. These dates will then be offered by the League Secretary to the home pair who also lose home advantage. If by the closing date, the game is unplayed and neither pair has made any effort then neither pair will progress to the next round.
Please note: players who are 'starred' on the clubs player list ie new players, must play off their correct current handicap at the time, is the running handicap shown on the website. Any player who is unsure must refer to either the website or his captain or the League Secretary PRIOR to attending the match.
The result of the match should be sent by email or text message and should clearly show the handicaps each pair played off so that they can be checked.
